ABOUT ALLISON
I’m a doctor—but not that kind of doctor! I have a PhD in Education, which means I went to school forever and I now have all sorts of ideas for how we can make school better for kids and teachers! When I was a teacher, my principal told me I couldn’t teach the Harry Potter books and asked if I was teaching witchcraft. I have a lot to say about the freedom to read!
Facts about me: I’m from a whole family of teachers, and I’m a former marching-band geek. When I’m not writing, I howl along to the Hamilton soundtrack with a trio of Chihuahuas named after Peanuts characters (actually, I do that when I’m writing, too).
